My Weekly Swoon - Glitter & Gold Nails

I heart the glitter and gold french manicure!  I'm on my way to the nail salon to recreate this look to rock for the rest of the week.  It's so cool how we can now express ourselves with fun nail designs and the current selection of nail lacquer colors are out of this world! Tell us, is there a particular nail design or lacquer color/brand you've been dying to try?  Are you inspired by pretty nails?
I will post a picture of my manicure shortly! xo

{Save The Date - This Saturday!} Bloomingdale DC's Community Yard Sale

Out with the old, in with the new - in the heart of DC’s Bloomingdale neighborhood . . . .

I've edited my closet over the Mother’s Day weekend and will be selling gently worn items  this Saturday at Bloomingdale DC's Community Day Yard Sale.  The Yard Sale will be held at  Crispus Attucks Park from 8a until 2p.  This private community park is between the unit blocks of U Streets and the 2000 blocks of North Capitol & 1st streets.

Items for Sale:  Quality shoes {7.5/8}, accessories {trendy and vintage pieces}, handbags, beauty products, clothes (size 4 to 6), CD's and books.  As an incentive, for every $25 spent, you will be able to select a fabulous item from my "Fab & Free" goodie box.  Complimentary sweet treats at my table while they last. Credit cards accepted; however, cash is preferred. Don’t forget to bring your signature shopping tote and your girlfriends!

High fashion at fair prices. . . .

A Unique Shopping Experience - The Styleliner Graced DC !

Joey Wolffer, Curator and Founder of  The Styleliner, the world's first luxury treasure chest on wheels pulled up and valet parked at the W Hotel Washington, DC last night.  Ms. Joey (as I've coined her), has an eye for stylish finds and carefully selects her one-of-a-kind accessories from around the world.

Who would have thought that a converted 27-foot potato chip truck could house such swoon worthy items!  This couture mobile walk in closet is loaded with a mix of both investment and trendy pieces and we captured a few of our faves below. Oh, and I visited P.O.V. Roof Terrace Lounge for my favorite signature cocktail, The Hemingway, fun times {wink}.
Have questions or want to contact Ms. Joey for a private viewing - check her out on Facebook!

There's still time to join the challenge - don't be shy.

The Daily Swoon ● Sole Talk Thursday

What a dramatic statement sandal by Giuseppe Zanotti - these brushed-leather sandals are embellished with a gunmetal spider {which I absolutely love} and so perfect for an elegant evening or my Halloween outfit that I have yet to decide on.

Beauty Event ● Danielle Lewis Beauty Lip Lustre Launch

Lip gloss was definitely poppin' last night. . . .

I had the pleasure of celebrating with Danielle Lewis {Danielle Lewis Beauty} last night to commemorate the launch of her new Lustre Lip Gloss line.  Danielle specializes in bridal, runway, editorial and fashion makeup and is the epitome of a professional.  The event was hosted at Topaz Boutique in Baltimore, Maryland {which by the way, sells cute shoes and handbags}.

Upon arrival, I was immediately introduced to the signature cocktail coined “Smooch.”  I loved it and had two {don’t judge me}.  The ambiance was very nice and John Legend crooned in the background as we glossed up our lips and decided which colors we admired the most.  I’m already in love with the collection because it does not feel like thick sticky glue and it survived my first sip of tea this morning.

Prior to my camera battery retiring for the evening, I was able to snap a few photos.

There are 12 Lip Lustre Colors -  Kendell (Fiery Orange Red); Krystal (Ultra Shiny Crystal Clear); Logan (Baby Pink with Golden Shimmer); Sydney (Peach Nude with Golden Shimmer); Robin (Golden Brown with Golden Shimmer); Exposed (Soft Beige Pink); Melrose (Lilac Pearl); Marley (Bright Pink Shimmer); Charlie (Golden Peach Pink); Drew (Deep Berry Wine); Harper (Deep Blue Plum) and SuperGorge (Magenta Shimmer)

The "Smooch" signature cocktail was delish - Danielle needs to bottle it up and sell it wholesale!
My two fave Fall colors Harper (l) + Charlie (r)
I am all smiles with the Lady of The Evening Ms. Danielle (left).

I love how I'm meeting more empowered, motivated and accomplished female entrepreneurs - Who Runs The World?!

Press & Publicity {Featured On CNN} ● Our Thoughts On Wedding Stress

Some exciting press to share with you this morning about us!  We are featured on CNN today discussing Avoiding Wedding Stress and How not to be a bridezilla – cut the stress.  Thank you to our blushing bride Olesha Haskett for her participation as well as Carla David Design for allowing us to enjoy this special moment in her cozy studio located in the Historic Savage Mill.  Finally, a special thank you to Val Willingham, CNN's Medical Producer for allowing me the opportunity to share my thoughts on one of my favorite topics, "Wedding Planning," and hugs to her dynamic film crew!
