Haute Holidays - Fashionable Gift Idea #2 ● Promoting Creative Expression

Dress Forms {whether fabric or metal} are the perfect holiday gift for fashion conscious teens or sewing enthusiasts {or both}.  Adorn your dress form with earrings, scarves, necklaces, concert stubs, family photos, buttons, vintage memorabilia and stunning brooches.  This timeless gift serves not only as a perfect sewing accessory piece in your home or office, but a functional accessory holder.

Fashion Challenge:  Continue to spark your fashion creativity monthly by displaying how versatile your clothing/accessories can be by including layered colors, unique baubles and vintage fabrics.  For the budding designer teen, encourage them to take photos to showcase their creative designs and assist them with creating an online portfolio to share with friends and family.  It is all about promoting creative expression this holiday season!

The possibilities are endless and have fun styling/accessorizing your dress form.

If I Was A Rich Girl ● My Favorite Vintage Statement Pieces

As I was driving into the office this morning, one of my favorite songs played "Rich Girl" by Gwen Stefani and that song inspired me to visit my favorite haute couture marketplace, 1stdibs and dream about various vintage baubles that I would love to have in my jewelry box, if I was a rich girl.  So in my quest to play virtual "dress up," on this gloomy Wednesday - here are a few of my eccentric favorites.

1stdibs has amazing vintage finds from various eras and I've acquired a few for past clients when styling them for their special day.  From fine art to mid-century modern furniture, I love visiting this site monthly to see what new additions are added.  Let us know what caught your eye as you peruse one of our favorite websites.

Singing to myself . . "Cause I'd have all the money in the world, if I was a wealthy girl..."

Cultivated Class ● The Queen of Gems and The Gem of Queens

Pearls are the only gemstones created by a living organism and considered unique as no two are exactly alike.  Delicate, highly prized, feminine and rich are the words in which we will use to describe our favorite gem.
Fresh water pearls are a popular choice and an amazing addition to any fashionistas'  jewelry collection.
Effortless Style:
Diamonds compliment pearls nicely and when styling clients for their special day, we are always reminded of how we thought of both gems when conceptualizing Savvy SoirĂ©es personal reflection statement which is “sophisticated, classic, tasteful, elegant, timeless."
